Jim and Fritha take UKA Heat

We saw our 2nd UKA Salsa Dance Championships Heat as contestants took to the floor to ‘give their all’ to the pulsating salsa rhythms under the watchful eyes of judges Kathie Towersey and Pauline Hatch.

There was great support from the crowd who cheered on the competitors as they went through their paces. Kathie and Pauline admitted it was a close contest but decided that Jim Costello and Fritha Fallon with their excellently executed routine should go through to the finals in London. Runners up went to Ian Thompson and partner Karen Stone. Fritha said "I'm really looking forward to the final. I'll be working in the afternoon so I hope I make it in time."

There was a great atmosphere throughout the evening and Karen admitted "This is such a friendly club, I like the buzz." Everyone agreed that it was another thoroughly enjoyable night.
